Class Archetypes


Below is a list of some generic Class Builds. If you're newer to the game, and looking for a basic idea of what each class and specialization is about, then this will be helpful to you. There are some examples of group roles, gear and abilities listed with them. Note that this is not the ONLY way to build your class nor is this the best way. There are plenty of different styles to choose from and hundreds of ways to personalize your character to play the way which suits you best. 

Warrior - Tank


Description: High Defense, Low Damage

Solo-ability: High

Group Role: Tanks generally take point in groups and command the attention of enemies with their taunts

Gear: Defender Gear, 1-handed sword, shield

Abilities: Phoenix Strike, Whirlwind, Rally, Defiant Stand, Challenge, Thunderous Call, Charge, Dragon Strike, Surging Howl, Titanic Power

Warrior - Berserker


Description: Low Defense, High Damage

Solo-ability: Moderate

Group Role: Berserkers can sometimes take the roles of Tanks with the proper group, but if a Tank is present Berserkers can be crowd control

Gear: Swift Gear, 2-handed sword

Abilities: Phoenix Strike, Huzzah, Sword Storm, Whirlwind, Challenge, Eagle Strike Slash, Charge, Surging Howl, Dragon Strike



Description: Low Defense, High Damage

Solo-ability: Moderate

Group Role: Toxic Hunters poison enemies and attack foes that are out of range of their allies

Gear: Reinforced Gear, Bow

Abilities: Gift of Dryad, Noxious Shot, Wounding Shot, Poison Shot, Ferocity of the Wolverine, Retreat, Speed of the Stag, Strength of the Bear, Slowing Shot

Description: Low Defense, High Damage

Solo-ability: High

Group Role: Sneak Hunters draw enemies to their team without getting the attention of other monsters

Gear: Sneak Gear, Bow

Abilities: Sneak, Assassins Shot, Gift of the Dryad, Crippling Shot, Concussion Shot, Quelling of the Sloth, Tempest of the Roc, Slowing Shot, Noxious Shot

Priest - Holy


Description: High Defense, Low Damage

Solo-ability: High

Group Role: Holy priests heal and shield their teammates, keeping them alive and strong

Gear: Holy Gear, Mace, Shield

Abilities: Mass Heal, Mass Shield, Divine Hammer, Smite, Holy Bolt, Bless, Cure, Censure, Judgement

Description: Average Defense, Average Damage

Solo-ability: Moderate

Group Role: Shadow Priests curse enemies, damaging them over time

Gear: Shadow Gear, Mace, Shield

Abilities: Shadow Orbs, Absorb Shield, Heal, Contagion, Darkfrost, Gloom, Vampiric Pact, Shadow Blast, Shadow Bolt, Corrupting Plague

Description: Low Defense, Above Average Damage

Solo-ability: Moderate

Group Role: Fire Wizards decimate groups of enemies in deadly AoE attacks

Gear: Fire Gear, Staff

Abilities: Inner Renewal, Scorching Burn, Combust, Fire Burst, Inferno, Flaming Meteor, Fireball, Calm, Spirit Charm

Wizard - Ice


Description: Average Defense, Average Damage

Solo-ability: Moderate

Group Role: Ice Wizards slow down and freeze groups of enemies before they can harm their teammates

Gear: Ice Gear, Staff

Abilities: Inner Renewal, Calm, Spirit Charm, Bitter Chill, Ice Shield, Ice Storm, Ice Javelin, Deep Freeze, Spirit Orb
